1. Scope and Purpose
This Artist Privacy Policy explains how Q Music LLC ("Q Music," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and otherwise processes personal information relating to artists, DJs, musicians, performers, and other talent users of the Q Music platform (collectively, "Artists").
This Policy applies to information collected through the Q Music app, website, artist onboarding flows, booking communications, invoices, support interactions, event management tools, and related services.
This Policy is designed to support Q Music's artist-facing platform and booking operations. It should be reviewed together with the Artist User Agreement and any event-specific Gig Confirmation.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly, such as your name, stage name, email address, phone number, mailing address, tax documentation, payment details, biography, genres, specialties, equipment capabilities, social media handles, links, photos, videos, audio samples, availability, and profile preferences.
Booking and engagement information, such as Gig Confirmations, rates, invoices, payment status, booking history, attendance records, venue-specific logistics, communications, and client-facing profile materials.
Platform and device information, such as log-in details, timestamps, device type, IP address, browser or app usage data, crash logs, and interaction records needed to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
Support and communications data, such as emails, text messages, customer support requests, dispute submissions, and other records relating to use of the Platform or a booked engagement.
3. Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Platform, from clients and venues involved in booked engagements, from payment processors and service providers, and from public or linked third-party sources you choose to connect or reference, such as your public social profiles or websites.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to create and manage artist accounts; verify eligibility; present artist profiles to clients; coordinate bookings; send Gig Confirmations, Venue Guides, and logistical updates; process invoices and payments; maintain internal records; respond to support issues; monitor service quality and safety; investigate fraud or misuse; meet legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations; and operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
We may also use photos, videos, recordings, bios, and other profile or engagement materials for client coordination, event promotion, event recap, internal review, archival use, and related Q Music business purposes, subject to the permissions and limits described in the Artist User Agreement or other written arrangements.
5. How We Share Information
We may share personal information with clients, venues, event operators, and their representatives as reasonably necessary to evaluate, book, coordinate, administer, or review a potential or confirmed engagement.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Platform or business, such as hosting providers, communication vendors, analytics providers, payment processors, tax and accounting tools, customer-support tools, legal advisors, and document management providers.
We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a merger or sale of business assets, or with your direction or consent.
We do not sell artist personal information in exchange for money. If Q Music ever engages in data-sharing practices that trigger an applicable opt-out right under state privacy law, Q Music will provide the disclosures and rights mechanisms required by law at that time.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, maintain booking and payment records, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect Q Music's rights and operations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system is completely secure, and Q Music cannot guarantee absolute security. Artists are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for promptly notifying Q Music of suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may update certain profile information through the Platform or by contacting Q Music. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, subject to applicable law and to Q Music's legitimate business, payment, fraud-prevention, contractual, and legal recordkeeping needs.
Where required by law, Q Music will honor applicable privacy rights, including rights available to qualifying residents of certain jurisdictions. Q Music may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. California-Specific Notice
If and to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to your information, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive information about certain categories of personal information collected, used, disclosed, or retained by Q Music, subject to statutory exceptions and verification requirements.
Q Music will not discriminate against an Artist for exercising an applicable privacy right, except as permitted by law. Artists may exercise qualifying rights by using the contact details listed in this Policy or any jurisdiction-specific request method Q Music designates.
